A Letter from your Captain, Patrick Stasko.
Dear Team E - Techron,
It is our third year attending Pedal to the Point, over 450 miles later, and raised over $12,000 for those that have multiple sclerosis. First and foremost, everyone on this team should be extremely proud of the accomplishments each of us has made individually and as a team.
We all individually decided to start riding for our own personal reasons and those that have stuck over the past three years I believe are riding for each other on the team and those that battle MS. I know our personal stories are different but we all can relate at foundation of our stories. We have joined this event to prove something to us and to prove something to the people around us.
The amount of achievement that the team has accomplished over time has surpassed any expectations I have ever had. Initially, three years ago I signed up for this event, even if I was going to ride it alone. I was overwhelmed by the response from each one of you. Each one of you stepped up to the plate, made personal sacrifices’ to be here, finical sacrifices for people that are not as fortunate, and have made exactly what this team is, Team E – Techron.
I was caught off guard last year when people wanted to hear something from the team captain. I was choked up not knowing what to say since what I wanted to say was something words could not describe. It is through thick and thin times which we all have stuck together, a bond which cannot be replaced anything our society has to sell us. Money cannot replace the hours at the shop, time spent working on our cars, the hours being handcuffed, time ridding around town, the time spent completing community service, going across the country together, stealing girlfriends and countless drinking stories. It is because of those bonds that keep this team together throughout the years.
At the end of the day, I couldn’t have a better set of friends that are truly irreplaceable. I am proud to know each one of you and look forward to a lifetime of friendship.
Sincerely your friend and team captain,
Patrick Stasko
