Sweet Corn Challenge

If I would have known that I was doing this bicycle ride this past Sunday morning, I would have informed people to join Nick Fantis and my self.

The both of us did walk-on registration for $22.00 each, rode 50 miles, and had some good corn. That is the best thing about the ride is the sweet corn they serve you at the end since it is not the hills that are great.

Personally, I had bicycle trouble! My front derailleur on the Trek 1220 had
stripped out since GOBA. That morning I unbolted the derailleur and cut the
cable, I rode 50 miles on 9 speeds that morning. The tough hills I was able to
use my foot to shift gears and the bicycle would automatically shift gears up
since it would catch the teeth on the front sprocket that help shifting
upwards.

Over all it was a decent ride, not my favorite but still one to try. Word of
advice, be prepared for hills! Check out the Sweet Corn Challenge at www.sweetcornride.com.
