Plane Pull 2010 - Pull a Boeing 737 for the Special Olympics of Ohio

On June 27, 2010, the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport will host the First Plane Pull to benefit Special Olympics Ohio. This event will test teams of about 20 to see how fast they can pull a Boeing 737.

We have created a team to help support the Special Olympics of Ohio and to have fun trying to pull an airplane faster than all of the other teams! We are trying to fundraise $25 per person, which is very reasonable, follow the link to join our team!

2009 Pedal to the Point Recap! Thank you!

Team E - Techron and it's members would like to thank everybody that donated and participated in the fundraising events that were held at the Blind Pig in Downtown Cleveland. All the photos that were taken have been posted under the Photo Gallery.

The ride was rather hot with the sun beating down with a temperate of 90 degrees! Staying hydrated was our first concern with the ride. Minus the billing issue with the Days Inn hotel everything else went smoothly.

Team E - Techron has raised $1,703.00 for this year's ride with an expected $130 more to come in shortly. Thank you once again to everybody that donated. This year's event would have not been possible without you due to the lack of corporate sponsorship.

As a team, we have decided for next year not to attend the Pedal to the Point but instead to work towards another charity bicycle ride, Pan Ohio which is put on the American Cancer Society. Pan Ohio is a bicycle ride from Cleveland, Ohio and goes to Cincinnati, Ohio over four days. The pace is slightly faster, the miles are about the same per day with an increased recommended fundraising amount. Team E - Techron will have details as they become available.

08/30/2009 Update - According the recent National MS Society mailing, we have ranked 91st place for fundraising at $1,703.00, the number 1 ranking team raised $51,729.00! Congratulations to Team Deloitte of Cleveland and Team E - Techron!

Blind Pig Guest Bartending was a smash hit!

Guest Bartenders Thank you to everybody that came down to the Blind Pig to support our team and fundraising efforts. We were able to raise $320 minus the cost of expenses. Thank you to all the bartenders; Jenny Muss, Julie Dobson, Patrick Stasko and Nick Fantis. Congratulations to Marty Goebel for winning the 50/50 raffle as well!

There was a great turn out and most of all it was a blast to bartend! To check out the photos from the event follow this link, Blind Pig Guest Bartending Fundraiser Photos.

GOBA 2009 photos are available!

GOBA 2009 Logo GOBA 2009 was a fun time! The land was flat, easy riding, virtually no hills, and only one head wind that was on the last day back to Norwalk Ohio. It was a pleasure spending time with Nick, Ron, Eddie, Dave, Megan, Tom, Cheryl, Kevin, Julie and Roslyn for the past week arond our tents! We stuck it out through the heat!

Cheers to another great GOBA!

Here are the photos from this year's GOBA event!
