Team E – Techron completes their third year participating in the National MS Society’s Pedal to the Point on August 16-17 of 2008. The team rode over 150 miles and raised over $3,000 for the victims of MS. The event went extremely well and was blessed with beautiful weather.

There are plenty of shirts to go around. They are made from Haines 50% Cotton/50% Polyester T-Shirt Material then screen printed front and back. The front side features the Team E - Techron logo and the on back side a full roster of registered riders on this years event.

If I would have known that I was doing this bicycle ride this past Sunday morning, I would have informed people to join Nick Fantis and my self.

The both of us did walk-on registration for $22.00 each, rode 50 miles, and had some good corn. That is the best thing about the ride is the sweet corn they serve you at the end since it is not the hills that are great.

GOBA 2008 was a blast! Two of Team E - Techron's member participated in the GOBA event this year which stretched over 7 nights and at least 300 miles per rider.

GOBA 2008 started in Wellington then traveled to Galion, Mt. Vernon, Coshocton, Orrville, and back to Wellington. Each night Nick Fantis and I camped out with his uncle Dave and two friends of theirs.

There has been a change to the website, the addition of Google Adsense on the right hand side. The entire amount of funds received from the Google Advertisement will go directly to the team as a donation less the taxes which the government takes out!

Earlier this week the National MS Society sent out the Registered Rider Packet which is optional if you wish to go over.

The packet includes tips for fundraising, rider referral form and goes into detail about the levels of donation for the entire team. This is geared more towards a team leader but can benefit any individual as well.

Making reservations this year was a battle, most the hotels seemed to be booked on Travelocity if not they were $50 more a night than last year's cost.

Using AAA and going directly to hotel's website, I was able get
the rooms for $125.99 plus $30.24 tax. Total of a $282.22 for two rooms! 

Although a late news article, the photos that were for the sponsorships were used in marketing for the respective companies that decided to use it. Mr. Gasket Performance Group a Presolite Wire Company donated $1,000 in the name of Team E - Techron. The donation helped several people on Team E - Techron to help ride and raise funds for MS. Going out there was wonderful time with
beautiful weather even if the Century Loop killed half of the team it
was a great time riding. It was a true pleasure to have everybody on
the team. We had wonderful time when we went to the hotel and Cedar
Point.
